11/15/24

It’s our anniversary. 10 years together. We are going to Amarillo tomorrow for our anniversary.

The cats were all home.

Sonny is not supposed to be in the shop, but he was and him and Yeller were having a stare down. Man, the full moon makes these animals nutty.

I let that one abandoned hen back in the coop, but the other two were picking on her, so she wanted back out. I don’t think she knows what’s she wants.

The pigs were ready to eat. They let me know that.

Willow was stealing hay from the sheep.

Ronnie got some new feed for the donkeys. Well, they were unhappy about that so they decided to eat with the cows, the cows were not happy about that.

I loved on Spots. She let me. A few years ago I was terrified of horses, but I guess I’m not anymore.

Daisy and Bella opened up some pine shavings and made a bed out of it. That’s smart for sure.

Yeller is still liking the crate.

Lola still has a sassy look to her. She was back in the shop.

The moon was big and beautiful again tonight.

11/14/24

Maggie and Ursula had a cute little stare down today. I have never seen them so that before.

The cats were home again today. I’m sure they will be at least until winter is over.

The chickens are now laying eggs in the dog crate I made up for the cats in case they needed an extra place to stay warm.

There is only one hen left over by the donkey barn. She acted like she wanted in the chicken coop, so I let her in there. It didn’t take 5 minutes for her to decide she didn’t want in there, so I let her out and she went over with the other animals in the pasture.

There is a beaver moon or some weird name they give them. It was beautiful and big.

The donkeys were taking advantage of eating hay while the cows were not in the area.

Athena drinking from the sheep trough is pretty funny but she does it.

Ursula and Athena were having a stare down through the door. So funny.

11/13/24

It took me a while to see all the cats, but they were home.

The little goats were extra today with their noises for food. It was pretty funny to watch them.

The chickens were already roosting while I fed the sheep. Not all the chickens come in that early, but they do come in early.

The full moon is on its way which explains a lot.

Looks like the cows and donkeys got a new hay bale today.

It also looks like now that Rojo has passed, Fred has decided to come back over to where most of the chickens are instead of over by the donkeys. I’m not sure how I feel about that. He basically abandoned the hens he had over that. I’m not real happy about it.

11/12/24

This is not a happy day. Things were not too good today and it made me sad. Just know, you were warned if you continue to read this post.
It was time to eliminate some roosters. I have tried to give them away, but my poor hens are looking something terrible. I let Ronnie know which ones had to go since they were so aggressive. Well, it was not on purpose but our best rooster was mistaken for one of the others and he is gone. I was so sad, but Ronnie didn’t like it any better than I did. That happened before I got home, what’s ironic is on my way home I saw a rainbow cloud. I usually see those when God knows how much I’m needing him. RIP Rojo.

The cats were all home when I got there.

Ronnie found a bunch of eggs I had not seen.

Maggie was standing up better today.

Lola has chosen to not go back to the shop for whatever reason.

Yeller was limping today. I don’t know what happened to him.

Daisy is eating cattle cubes that were dropped in the backyard.

It was a pretty evening even with the sadness.

We had two other rooster who we said goodbye to tonight. Gosh how I hate that part, but those hens are going to die if we didn’t do something.

The shots scared all the dogs and they would not leave my side after that.

I did catch the inside cats in their beds to go to sleep. I don’t know why I think that’s funny, but I do.
