Noma is still nursing Mattie. It’s like she knows that once he is weaned, he will go over in the pasture with the other donkeys. She is refusing to stop nursing. She has slowed it down but it’s still happening. Matte is over 6 months old now. They usually wean between 4-6 months. What a life we live around here. I know Noma has had several babies and they have all been taken from her. I don’t want to send Mattie to the pasture but he is so rough with her and with Cracker Jack. He needs a bigger place to roam. It’s best for Mattie.
