Day one of Ronnie going back to work was eventful. I had to take the babies away from mom, one ended up passing away, the one with the bad leg. I got home and found another one that had been discarded. I also noticed another one that was trying to hatch and was not doing a good job, so I know you are not supposed to, but I helped it hatched. Then, I wrapped it in cotton material and put it in my pocket to keep it warm while I finished feeding the farm. I made a make shift mom for the chicks and added them to the area with the other discarded baby that was left.
Hercules got into the pasture with Mattie and Willow and almost lost his life. Those two donkeys were not having it. They knew he was not supposed to be there. I’m yelling and screaming. Hercules does make it back over the fence where he is supposed to be, so I call Ronnie and ended up finding some fencing. I also am still nursing a cat who has been sick and hard to catch and 2 chickens who I have no idea what is going on with. That is day one of Ronnie being gone. Eventful is an understatement.
