My grandmother fell and broke her pelvis a couple of weeks ago. I decided I needed to go visit her and make sure she was doing okay. I always have a hard time with leaving home, but I knew I needed to go. I had to tell the cats in the home goodbye before I left. That drive gets to me, but I knew it was needed. It would be worth it. I knew that deep down. I got on the road and was in Arkansas by 4:30pm. It was good to be home for a day or so. It is always good to see family, even if the reasons aren’t always to fun.

The horses got a new hay bale yesterday. When I got out this morning, those horses were eating up that hay bale. They really have been going through the hay faster these days.
I got to play with some baby kittens at a patient’s house today. That always makes me happy. Kittens are cute.
The dogs were looking nervous when they ate. It did look like it was going to rain. It was going to pour at any minute.
The donkeys and goats did not seem to mind the rain clouds coming in. They do not worry about much honestly. They have all they need and they know it.
Hercules was out by the chicken coop eating the chicken feed. He still does that occasionally.
Mattie and Willow were following Ronnie across the pasture. That was a sight to see. I had to laugh.
The donkeys and goats did come in by the barn when the clouds were getting thicker.
The pigs were oblivious to what was going on with the clouds. They are funny little creatures.
The horses were giving me some attention today. That is always nice.
There is something about the clouds rolling in. Those clouds are gorgeous to watch.
Athena was sitting by a ground squirrel hole. She was not moving from that spot. She was watching so intensely.
Willow and Mattie were following me around today. They just crave attention. They make me laugh.
It did eventually rain.

Bella was sick this morning. When she started throwing up, the rest of the dogs made their way far away from her. Poor Bella. She was okay not long later.
Ronnie was able to put out a new hay bale today for the horses. They were happy about that. Those horses sure are pretty.
Mattie and Willow are definitely inseparable. I have no idea what I was worried about with those two. They are such good friends.
I watched Pete and Ned scratching each other’s back. I had seen Willow and Mattie do that, but I had not seen the rest of them do that. It was a surprise to see.
Red and Pedro were beautiful out in the pasture. I sure do love those donkeys.

Mattie and Willow will not get away from each other even for a second. It really is sweet to watch those two.
