January 25, 2025

It was a cooler day today for a work day, but we did it anyway. Might not have been the best idea.
Bill was acting like his back right foot was bothering him. I need to find my clippers. The hoof looks a little too long. I’m sure once I get that done he will be fine.
The crazy shop hens were laying in the mountain of feed sacks in there. My guess would be to stay warm, but I have not ever seen them do that. I guess whatever works for you.
I had a few people out here to work today. I am always blessed to have people to help us. One of the girls I work with came out for the first time, so watching her interact with the animals was also such a blessing. Every animal over her and wanted her attention, even Spam and Treat. That almost never happens.
I gave all the pigs extra attention today. Ronnie really likes to feed them daily, so I do not give them as much attention as I used to. They all enjoyed it, but I may have enjoyed it more.
The animals all circled around one of the other girls. I do not think she even knew it. Around here, you better make sure you know what is behind you.
Jeb was the only horse who wanted attention. The rest of them are snobs most of the time.
The donkeys all got some love. They needed all that love. One of the girls who comes out here has a soft spot for Red. She loves him. What’s funny is he seems to feel the same about her.
Hercules got his horn cut, so it would not dig in his skin. Ronnie and I do this about once a year. It helped to have so many helping this time. Hercules can be hard to handle.
The girls and I decided to walk our property line and check things out. We did not find much. I think we did find where the wild hog got in, but that’s it. We did see the neighbor’s cows. I found the scenery we have so pretty. I had forgotten how much we had. The donkeys and goats met us in the pasture.
The dogs decided they liked the toys.
The cats were home this evening.
May is still in the shop. She is so fussy.
The sunset was gorgeous again.
Ronnie and I went out and came home after dark. We found a bunny in the yard. I’m pretty sure we have a few who live here.
