January 2, 2025

This morning looking out the window while making coffee, I was watching the pasture goats. They were all three intently looking at something. It was like they were frozen in place. I went out to look, I did not see anything. Ronnie went out to look with binoculars and did not see anything, so who knows what they saw. The donkeys were on the other side of the pasture.

It was a cold morning, but none of the animals seemed to mind. They were going about their business.

2025 is starting with some unpleasant news, Ronnie has Covid. That is not fun for anyone. Luckily he was able to call and order our feed and hay to have delivered this weekend. We will not be doing community service stuff this weekend or have help on the farm because of illness. I am not sick, so I can do the things that need to be done. I am grateful I can do those things. I’m also grateful to be able to have a couple of days to do things I want to do.
I got home late since I went to the store to get meds and soup and drinks for Ronnie to help him the next few days. It was getting dark when I got home. Ronnie was still feeding animals. I got to see all 3 of my cats even though I was late. The shop chickens were already roosting where they normally do.

The sky had this beautiful pink hue to it tonight.

Be grateful in all circumstances. It makes life a little easier on us.
