The New Year
It’s the first day of the year. It’s a new day and a new time. Ronnie and I have been so exhausted and burnt out due to a lot of health issues and other things in 2024. We lost some beloved pets last year and several chickens. We have had multiple vet visits for others. 2024 was rough, but now we are in 2025. We are going to learn to love what we are doing again instead of it feeling like another chore to do. It’s already starting well. I found it fun to try to pet on Cinderella while she was sneaking food. I remembered why I enjoy watching the sheep baa at me while standing on the gate waiting on food. Tinkerbelle was so excited about food today, she fainted. She was able to get back up quickly, though. The horses still fight over food. The little goats are still doing well with using 3 bowls. The donkeys and goats in the pasture are still loving the pasture. I had to laugh at Mattie for being so impatient about food. The cats were home again this evening also. The shop chickens decided to get out of the shop for a while today. We are so blessed to still have Maggie and Pepper with us even though their time is limited. Every day is a blessing. This farm is a blessing to all who come to see us. We will continue with this mission while working on our own mental health this year.
