November 11, 2025

It was another cold morning; I am sure they will all be until winter is over. Athena and Onyx were in the shop. I was not sure where Yeller went so, I went looking for him. He was in the crate staying warm. I was glad to see that.
I did happen to go into the shop where some egg crates were demolished and eggs were everywhere. A lot of them were cracked so I threw them to the hens in the shop. I could not even imagine what had happened to all of that stuff. All the cat food was gone, too. I thought something had found all of that and whatever that something was should not have been in the shop in the first place. I was a little nervous to be honest when I saw all of that. A few minutes later, here comes a few of the chicks and they were tearing up an egg carton and then went over and started on the cat food. Well, I figured out the culprits. There was nothing to be nervous about.
The cats were all home this evening. Athena and Onyx were playing in the pasture. They sure are pretty cats.
The chicks are getting into a routine for feeding time, just like all the other animals. It is about time they do that.
The horses were lined up like they normally are.
Ted is still doing good. That is such good news. Sheep are hard to keep alive. I have learned that the hard way. The hard way is normally how I do things.
Mattie was peeking in the sheep shelter wanting to be sneaky. I wish I could get in his head sometimes to see what is going on in there. Who knows what he was wanting.
Alex is still getting around really slow. I know his feet are bothering him. We are working to get a solution to the problem. One of his back hooves has started to come off, so that is a good thing. That should help some. I also was able to get some swat on him to get rid of the flies. Jasper wanted no part in any of that.
The pigs are all doing well and still have plenty of straw.
I did notice Willow is gaining some weight. It is time to change their feed.
The night was beautiful. All day I knew there was a chance to see the Northern Lights tonight. I missed them a few nights ago because I was asleep when they got the notification. I had been watching for them again. They are just so beautiful to see. I was watching the app and watching FB to see when the lights would be out. I caught the first picture at 7:05pm. It was faint out in the distance with a 7.33 out of 9 on the KP index. I watched those Northern Lights from 7 to 9:30. I got tired and cold. The geomagnetic storm was much stronger than predicted. That storm ended up being an 8.67 out of 9 on the KP index. People from all over the world got to see the Northern Lights tonight. It was such a memorable night. I even had my husband take a picture with me. I am so glad I got to see the lights again. One day I will see them overhead and up North, I just know it. But these are beautiful down here in Texas, too. I took over 200 pictures I will go through and see which ones to keep and which ones to not keep. Do not ever get tired of those things that you find peace and joy in, no matter how many times you see or do them.
