December 21, 2025

I saw one of the hens on top of the hay bales. I wish I knew what they were doing sometimes.

All the cats were home.

The horses got a new hay bale. I am hoping Saverine starts eating more since there is still some hay left in the other spot.

The donkeys were aggravating the pigs. Donkeys are a lot like us in that since they know they can get the pigs yelling at them, they continue to do that. Humans do that, too, if you can get a rise out of someone, they keep it up, just stop that, it really is no fun.

As I went out into the donkey and goat pasture, I noticed Pete was slower than the rest. When I looked closer, he had some wire wrapped around his back leg. Of all the donkeys, it had to be the one that does not like us to get too close. We ended up have to squeeze him in the barn to get the wire off, but we were able to do that after some time and effort. All good things come with time and effort. He was not happy when it was happening, but he was better once it was off.

I did get to spend some time with my pigs. I sure do love them. I gave them some attention and belly rubs. That is really all they want.

I did see Yeller taking off past the pig pen and tried to get him to come back home, but he refused. I know he does that often.
