December 30, 2025

I got to see the cats before work.
As I let the chicks out of the coop and they spread out everywhere, I did not see one sneak into the shop. I was counting the chicks, and I knew I was missing one. I knew she had to be around there somewhere. I found her hiding in the feed sacks in the shop. I guess she thought I would not see her or I would not look for her or something. I did see her, and I did get her out of there. She was reunited with her other friends, even though she did not want to. Sometimes we have to do things we do not want to do.
When I got home, I was talking to one of the chickens in the front yard. Next thing I know, the chicks were coming around the front of the house. I guess they heard me and came running. It is nice to be loved. I did catch one of them and loved on her. She did not appreciate it at all.
I have not said anything about the coop chickens in a while. They are doing well. I do think they like that they are protected and in their own little bubble.
I watched Lucky trying to get to the water in the trough. I guess the water was down a bit, so he had to climb up to get some water. It was a challenge, but he was able to do it. Make some goals so life can be a little bit of a challenge for you, that keeps the mind fresh and gives you something positive to focus on.
The other animals were all just kind of hanging out eating their hay.
The pigs were ready for some food. They are always ready for some food. They might have been a little impatient today. That is okay.
I had a bad migraine today. That has been happening more and more often. It is no fun. I do have meds, but they make me sleepy and I have too much to do to be asleep. I was feeling pretty awful while out feeding and watering. I decided to cuddle with Yeller for a while. I then decided to cuddle with Alex for a while. It did make me feel better. It did not take away my headache, but it did help. I also was able to pet on Patsy; she does not like that too often.
I did see chicks out in areas I have not seen them before. I also saw them with other animals I have not seen them with before. I guess they are getting used to the place.
