Ronnie left town this morning, so I went to let the dogs in. As I was letting the dogs in, I was able to see all the cats.
I got to see all the cats as soon as I got home, too. That’s a lucky day for me.
I did feed the goats a handful of chicken feed. I don’t always do that, but today I did. I haven’t seen much of them up close lately.
Sonny is still doing well, but his broken wing is hanging down today for some reason. He has been trying to use it more lately.
It was hot out today. The pigs dealt with the heat by digging holes all day. Whatever works I guess.
Noma continues to decline. She is laying down so often the hair on her backside is gone. She was mouthy with Willow. That was comical.
The other animals seemed to be hot, but otherwise okay.
Sonny is now back to roosting with the other chickens. He can’t get up on the roost, but he sits under them.
To top everything off for the evening, it’s 90 degrees outside. We have gone from 22 degrees on Saturday to 90 degrees on Wednesday. Hows that for West Texas weather? Just nuts.
As I was outside bringing the dogs in, Yeller and Onyx both were rubbing up against my leg. I was not sure what was going on, but then I remembered we have to keep the doors to the shop closed since a skunk got in there. I watched as both cats crawled through the gate and into the goat pen and then into the back of the shop. Good thing they are smart, and small.
