April 17, 2025

The cats were home when I got up and out to feed them. Each of them were in different areas, but at least they were home. Then they all came in to eat together.
The sunrise was indescribable. The horses were right under it. It was postcard beautiful.
The moon was still out over the pigs and the cows. That's quite a sight to see.
The donkeys were all waiting by the fence, but I do not know why. Mattie and Willow followed their example. Be careful who's example you follow; they could lead you in the wrong direction.
Athena was in the pig pen again. Go figure. What is she doing?
The cats were lazing around in the backyard out of the hot sun this afternoon. It was a hot one.
The goats and donkeys were grazing on some green grass. They better get it while they can. West Texas does not have green grass long.
My favorite cactus is blooming right now. They call it the horse crippler. I need to weed that flower bed out so I can see it better. I will have to put that on my to do list.
Lester was watching over his ladies taking a dirt bath. That was nice of him to protect them like that. If you don't know why chickens take a dirt bath, it is to keep the bugs off of them, clean their feathers and skin, and regulate body temperatures.
Tinkerbelle has a favorite spot in her pen. It's under the sunshade in the breeze. She is content to stay there for hours.
Looks like Pedro walked the goats back closer to the barn for some reason. I was able to love on him though before he went back into the pasture with the others.
