Alex was laying down eating. He can be so lazy, but that makes me laugh. The donkeys were all eating around him.
Tinkerbelle let me love on her. I even put some hay in the shelter so she would not have to get up. She is slowing down these days.
Oh, the sunrise was beautiful. I love to watch the sunrise and sunset here in West Texas.
Sonny was so cute today up on a roost with a couple of hens. I am glad he is feeling so much better.
The pigs were all glad to be eating this morning. It's not like we would ever not feed them. They are all doing so well. I know they are happy.
I can tell it is about time to take Jasper back to the vet. He is starting to swell, and he is separating himself from the others right now. Gosh I hate it. He was standing at the back of the fencing with a chicken and Athena. That right there is hilarious.
I noticed Saverine now has a cut on her leg, and it is draining. I will have to take care of that later when I get home from work. She is limping and acting like she hurts. Poor girl. She was not with the rest of the horses and when I called to her, she came over. I know she is hurting, or she would not have come over to show me she needed some help. I am glad she was asking for help. It is always okay to ask for help if you need it.
I swear, these cats and killing birds. Onyx had another bird. I stepped in and took the bird. Well, the bird was hanging on for dear on my hand with the beak. As I looked closer, the bird did not have any eyes. I put the bird back in the tree and that bird flew off and then fell. I did what I could and saved that bird several times, but I am not sure what the outcome was. I am pretty sure the outcome was not good.
I got to see the cat several times today. I call that a win.
Sonny was giving himself a dirt bath to cool off this afternoon. It was super-hot for April. I am afraid of what the summer holds if it is already in the 90s.
Lucky gave me some attention, so I gave him some chicken feed. I knew that is what he wanted anyway. Hercules and Carlos got some, too.
The horses wanted to be sprayed with water. They love that, minus Chief, he does not love that and wants no part in that. The others enjoyed it and helped cool them off.
Saverine is still staying away from the other horses. I think she is doing that until her leg heals. She did allow me to put some medicine on her leg without any problem. I am so glad she trusts me to help her. Trust is such a hard thing to gain when you have been let down before.
Brutus, Darla, and Spam all allowed me to love on them. I love that they will do that.
Oreo and Ursula wanted my attention tonight.
The dogs got new blankets which they were excited about.
