Northern Lights

The Northern Lights were in Texas again. It was the biggest storm in 20 years according to various places. It was supposed to be so beautiful. Well, I sure did go out like I normally do. I would not have missed that. The problem was, the biggest and brightest part of the storm hit before it was dark here in Texas. The other problem was, it was cloudy. It was also cold out and I am not going to stand out in the cold. I did go out and I saw some pretty blue and purple in the sky within the clouds. I have only ever seen red in the sky associated with the northern lights in Texas. It sure was pretty. The clouds never did let up, so I did not see much, but I saw enough. 

The next night the lights were supposed to be out again, but I did not get to see too much. It was so cold out, too. I was not real patient, but the data did not support a good show that night. I did try. I did not see much, but I did try.
