Saverine Down
This new year is turning out to be as wild as can be. I was leaving to go to work, and I look over and saw Jeb down on the ground. That is not abnormal. He loves to lay down. That horse is comfortable where he is. I then see Saverine on the ground also. That is not a normal thing and that is not a good thing. She only gets down when there is a problem. I texted my boss and told her I would be late. I then just texted a photo to my husband. I went out into the pasture to see if I could get her up. She stared at me. That was it. I started messing with her and got her into a sitting position and then she fell back over. Well, that is definitely not a good sign. I loved on her and hugged on her and cried. I hate it when they are hurt or sick. Ronnie told me to go to work; he was on his way home and would be there in a few minutes. I was not happy about leaving her, but I did. I was sure praying she would be okay. I got a picture about half an hour later and she was up and eating with the rest of the horses. Maybe she was manipulating me to get my attention, just like a kid. I was just glad she was up and about. She is getting up there in years, so I will have to face the facts before long, but for now, she is okay.
