Weather

The cold weather is moving in. It may only be here for a week, but we have to be prepared. Most of the animals cuddle up in their shelters. The pigs do, too, but I always feel like they need a little extra help since pigs are unable to regulate their temperatures on their own. Ronnie usually has to get straw several times in the winter months, but the pigs love it and it makes me worry less. These days we just throw in the flecks of straw, and the pigs spread it the way they want it. As long as they have the straw in their shelters, which they do have 3 shelters to stay out of the wind, they do pretty well.
