May 15, 2025

I saw Yeller first thing. He was fine. We had a talking to, but I do not think he was listening. He does what he wants to.
The animals are hot today and so am I. They are hanging in there. They might want to get used to it because summer is almost here. This 99 degree weather will be cool compared to what we will get soon.
The cats were all home when I got home from work, thank goodness. I did not have to search for any of them.
I did fill up Daisy's water trough to swim in. She was grateful. She got right in it to cool off. Labs love water. Daisy has always been a water dog. We keep the trough out for her all summer to swim in. Bella will get in there also, but she does not seem to like it as much as Daisy does.
Lucky and Carlos were staying cool in the shade of the barn. They are smart animals. Hercules was out in the sun trying to get the chicken feed.
The donkeys were way out in the pasture again. They love life.
Olga is still sitting on those eggs. It will not be long before we have some chicks running around. I do get excited about that. I do like to watch them and see them learning how to survive. If only there was a map for the rest of us to learn how to survive through life; I think there might be actually, if we would heed its instructions.
Treat graced me with her presence today. She is so cute. She is still my wayward baby, but I love her so much.
Bella was watching the tree today. She was waiting for something to fall out of that tree. Nothing did, thank goodness. She was staying put just in case though.
The Oklahoma horses got sprayed with water today. That is a highlight for them. They love it. I do not mind since it keeps them cool also. Jeb has learned to love it from them. He used to not love it, but he changed his mind.
I found a chicken who has stepped in some sheep wool and that wool stayed on the bottom of her foot. I did not intervene. I am sure she will get it off at some point.
I got to see a yellow headed blackbird up close. They are so beautiful.
Willow and Mattie were following me around. I asked them what they could possibly want, but they did not answer me.
The cows were yelling about something. It looked like they were yelling about the tractor on another property. They associate hearing a tractor with getting a bale of hay.
I saw the cats in the evening also.
The sky was gorgeous. I say that all the time, but it is true.
