May 22, 2025

I was happy to see two of the cats this morning before I even went to work this morning. Onyx and Athena were hanging out by the chicken feed where a couple of chickens were eating.
The clouds were sure coming in fast. So was the humidity. Goodness it was sticky, wet, hot. Yuck. I do not miss that.
I was in a hurry to feed to get to a friend’s daughter’s high school graduation. The rain started and it was cold rain. That did help with trying to stay cool while feeding. I mean, I was still gross and sweaty, but it could have been worse I guess.
I did see all the cats this afternoon.
The goats were staying in the barn to stay away from the possibility of the rain. So smart. Goats do not like to get wet.
I saw Olga still sitting on the eggs. She was not sitting on all the eggs, so I went to help put them back under her. She ended up breaking an egg. Luckily there was not a chick in there. I was about to have myself a moment.
Willow and Mattie were in the shelter to stay away from the rain. I did not blame them. The little goats were also in their shelters to stay out of the rain.
Mattie and Willow did come out to eat. It did not rain for long. The horses were in the barn, but came out to eat also.
The clouds were still coming in and coming in fast.
The donkeys were hanging out in the pasture not caring about the rain.
The dogs were not happy about the weather. The thunder started and they ran out of the back yard. Once it stopped I was able to get them back in the backyard. They were sure unhappy about it.
As I was watching the clouds get darker, I saw a rainbow in the distance. It was gorgeous. The clouds were really getting darker. Rainbows are a promise, they bring hope when you think there seems to be no hope.
I did see a double rainbow on our way to the graduation. So pretty.
