May was up and moving around this morning when I went to check on her.
We have a chick who is missing a toe. I think it was probably born that way. I know there has not been any injuries lately.
I opened the mailbox and saw a weird looking spider. I had a gut feeling that I did not want to put my hand in that mailbox. I googled it and google said it was a juvenile black widow spider. I knew I wanted no part in that. She did turn over and I saw that sign which I would have recognized as a black widow spider. I do not care for the number of black widows there are around here. Remember you have gut instincts for a reason, do not ignore them.
May was hanging out in the shop with her friends around her. I am glad to see that some of the hens do help to make sure she is okay.
The cats all came in to eat together.
I went out to the well house and guess what I found...another black widow. Nope, I do not want any of that.
Jeb got sprayed with the water hose. He was so happy about that. I do like to see him smiling. Takua and Spots joined in also to cool off.
Melody must have gotten hot; she was up in the window getting the breeze. A few minutes later, she jumped out of the window. She normally got out the hole in the wall, but a rooster was standing there, so she went out the window.
It sure was a warm day. Luckily it was not in the 100s, but I know that is coming. The animals are all doing fine.
