Olga was wondering around with some of the other hens this morning. That is a good sign. I am still so upset and I know she has to be, too.
I did see all the cats this morning. Yeller was back in the dog house. I am guessing that is his new spot to stay out of the rain. It is not a bad spot to be in. I did watch Athena as she watched the chicks. That is funny to me. I am glad they are protected by some fencing.
I had been loving on Yeller. He is such a cuddle bug. Ursula was mad at me and refused to be around me because of that. You do not have to be jealous of others, just be who you are.
I watched either Onyx or Athena hunting out in the pasture.
The weather was coming in again. It was supposed to start raining soon.
Poor Olga was in the shop looking for her baby. Maybe she was hanging out with the other babies, who knows. I am still so sad for her. Her eyes look sad. It makes me so sad.
I did hurry through a lot of the chores because I could see the rain coming in.
I did not have to water anything this evening due to how much it rained last night.
The animals did not seem to be bothered that the rain was coming in. They were eating like it was nothing. They do that all the time.
Olga finally got up on the roost. I guess she has realized her baby is not coming back. I am hoping when Ronnie gets the chicken house built this weekend that she will spend some time over there.
The pigs were definitely happy today with all that water and mud. The temps were cooler though, so they were not really muddy.
I did see the cats again.
The baby chicks are doing great. I know they are ready to get out of that small area. I am hoping we get the chicken house built this weekend to get them out of there.
It did start raining again. I saw the craziest thing. There were flying bugs everywhere. I mean everywhere. I have never seen anything like it before. I looked it up and google said they were desert flying termites. How crazy is that? Hours later they were still in the air.
As it rained, Onyx and Yeller were together under the stools to stay out of the rain. The pasture flooded pretty quickly with the rain. That is West Texas and how that works here.
