June 16, 2025

The chicks made it through their first night in their new home and did fine. They were all up and running around this morning when I went to check on them. There were other hens around the coop watching them. That made me laugh. I am hoping the other chickens going around the coop and getting to see the chicks that when the chicks are big enough to be free range that they will not have such a hard time with integrating into the clutch of chickens we already have. I wish it was not as hard to bring animals together, but it is. We should want to bring others into our groups in life instead of creating so much space between people.
The cats are all doing fine. They are trying to stay out of the sun and the heat.
The dogs are doing well.
Pedro ate out of my hand today. He does not do that very often, but he did today. He is my baby for sure.
I got beat up again by Annabeth today looking for eggs under her. She was not happy about it.
The horses got sprayed down today. Jeb was loving it. He let me know it.
Waldo wanted what was left in the buckets I left over by the fence. Too bad for him, there was nothing in there. We usually want things we cannot have, strive to be happy with what you have.
The sheep got more attention today. They really do love to have attention.
Hercules is slowing down. He has been laying down more often. He is getting older, I know. I also know it is hot outside. I am hoping that is all that is, just being hot.
The sunset was gorgeous tonight.
It did look like Onyx was guarding the chicken coop. That was funny to see. Luckily, there is a roof on the chicken coop.
