The donkeys and cows were also laying out in the back relaxing. They do that when the weather is hot.
The donkeys and goats in the pasture were all enjoying the green grass. They better do it quickly because the green grass will not be there too much longer.
I was working on quilting today; the cats would not leave me alone. They wanted up in my business and they were. At least they are cute. Both of them just wanted my attention.
The horses were in the barn staying away from the sun also. The West Texas sun is hot.
Annabeth was back in the broody mood. She did not want to see me coming.
We did get the chicks in the coop. The house we bought we did not put together because the chicks could not get up in the house since they are still too small, so I put a doghouse in there to at least give them shelter if they needed it. We also put up a sunshade to make sure they had some shade all the time. I got them all out of the shop and into the doghouse. They came out of the doghouse quickly to explore. I sure do like watching them grow up and exploring. They do seem to like their new home. They won't be in there long because they grow so fast. Those chicks are like children, if you blink, they will all be grown up.
It was a hot day. When I went outside, the horses were all eating together on that bale of hay. That is a rare occasion.
The chicks were all doing well. I am so happy to see them out of the shop. They have so much more room to run around.
I saw a roadrunner on our property. That is the first time I have seen a roadrunner on the property. It ran off quickly.
I went to check on the chicks later in the evening. They were fine, of course. I went back even later, and they were all bunched up together. I picked them up all up one at a time and put them in the doghouse. They seemed to be fine with that. I do not know if they stayed, but at least it put my mind at ease. If you feel that tug on your heart to do something for someone, do it to make sure it gets done.
