June 20, 2025

Onyx and Athena met me when I opened the shop doors to go in and eat. They know how to get in without me opening the doors, but sometimes they are lazy and wait for me. They are smarter than we think.
The pasture goats know how hot it is outside, so they have been staying in the barn during the hot part of the day. I cannot say I blame them.
The pasture is still green for now. Maybe it will continue to rain, and it will stay that way. I am hopeful for that this year. We need it badly.
My favorite cactus has berries on top of it. I did some research, and it said you could eat the berries. I am not brave enough to want to do that, but there is an option.
It is sure hot out. I do not care for it. The animals are doing all they can to stay cooler. At least they have instincts to take care of themselves and how to do that. If we all used the instincts we had in life, we would be better off.
The view from the pig pen is sure a good one.
The chicks are sure growing.
Mattie went over to check on sheep. He may have actually been stealing their hay if he could get to it.
Treat was unsettled this evening. She walked back and forth, back and forth. I do not know what her deal is. I am sure she will be fine tomorrow.
