The baby chicks are getting so big so fast.
I found some random eggs while I was watching the rain coming in.
It did start raining before I left for work. I stopped and took some photos of the rain and then lightning. It was pretty.
I got to see that bunny in our yard again. That bunny is about as big as one of our cats.
I did get to see Olga and her baby. I fed them some feed. While they ate, I unloaded groceries and did some feeding.
The donkeys and goats were coming in from the pasture. Red is still looking good. Pete’s feet need to be done for sure.
The chickens were all hanging out under the shade trees.
The horses are looking so good. They have all gained some weight.
All the other animals are doing fine.
As I came back in to get more feed, I noticed Daisy was acting funny. As I walked closer, I noticed she had killed that last baby chick Olga had. I was screaming and crying. I could not believe my eyes. I was so distraught. Daisy did not care. I was too late to save that baby. Poor Olga was running around looking for her baby. Watching that made me cry more. I am as devastated as she is probably. I am so mad at that dog. I am also questioning what actually happened there. Daisy has always left the baby chicks alone, so I do not understand. I did attempt to give one of the store bought baby chicks to Olga, but she did not want any part in that. I checked on her later and she was back in the spot where she hatched the eggs hoping her baby would find her if I had to guess. I am just heartbroken. Things happen in our lives we cannot control, but give yourself the time to process and deal with those things in life.
Mattie did give me some attention. Probably because he knew how upset I was. He also gave the sheep some attention.
