The chicks are doing fine. It is about time to get them out of the shop and out of the smaller shelter so they can have more room. And the temps are going to be in the 100s next week, so they will have to be out of there by then. I bought some fencing and a house for them, but we will have to put it together for them.
There has been more rain than normal lately, so the grass is green. It sure makes it pretty.
Onyx and Athena were doing well today. They were home.
Carlos ate out of my hand today. He sure does like that corn. He is so cute.
Annabeth was acting broody. She did not have eggs under her and she cannot hatch eggs anyway since she is in a coop with another hen. She pecked me like crazy when I was trying to get her out of the laying box.
Pete needs his feet done. We have some difficulty with getting someone out here when we need them to do his feet. He is also difficult to handle. He seems fine though. He has been laying down more, but I am not sure if it’s his feet or the heat.
The donkeys and goats were all close to the barn.
The horses were enjoying some water spraying. They love that during the hot temperatures.
The sheep wanted attention and I gave it to them. They are just the sweetest.
Olga really wants to be alone. She continues to find ways to stay by herself. It is sad to watch.
I had not seen Yeller today, so I was glad to have seen him right before I went to bed. I loved on him. He is so cuddly.
I checked on the chicks before I went to bed and they are doing well. I am grateful we have only lost one chick. It looks like Esmeralda watches over the chicks at night.
There was suppose to be a chance to see the Northern Lights tonight, but it did not happen. The clouds were sure gorgeous though.
