The chicks are seriously all over me. It is like every day more of them decide they like me. I mean, I do love it that they love me. That was my goal, and I think I have reached that goal. However, I am not sure how I was able to reach that goal. I remember picking up a couple of those chicks and putting them up on my shoulder. I guess that is how that happened. Reaching a goal, however big or small, is a good thing and helps with your self-confidence and self-esteem.
May is still up wondering around. I am so happy about that.
I finally did get to see Pete's feet up close. They do look so much better. I know he is sore because he is laying down often, but he looks so much better. The farrier will be back next month to work on his feet more. All the donkeys look good and happy.
I looked all over for May later in the day and could not find her. My brain started thinking the worst, but she was fine. She had hidden herself behind a box. Chickens do that to heal from what I hear.
Willow and Mattie gave me some attention. I will take it. I sure do love those donkeys. They know they are loved also.
It sure was a pretty evening. I started lightning while I was out there for the last time.
