September 22, 2025

The dogs were really thirsty for some reason this morning.
I did see all the cats when I got home from work. They were trying to stay cool outside. Hopefully this will be the last week of the hot temperatures, but I will say, this summer has not been bad at all compared to some of the years we have been here.
The goats were out in the pasture without the donkeys. That does not happen too often.
The chicks are catching on that when I open the gate, they can fly out of there. Some of them take advantage, some of them are still figuring it out. I think Ronnie is going to cut the extra fencing for them this weekend.
Gidget is still the friendliest one. She does not always like to be put back into the coop, but she tolerates it fine. Lovey has already figured out dirt baths, that did not take long.
Noma was out in the pasture laying down like she does. She terrifies me almost every day with how she is laying down. I hollered at her and all she did was move an ear. Just one ear. I guess that is better than nothing.
It must be molting season. May is losing her hair on her neck, but the feathers are already growing back. I find that interesting. She did not like me being so close and inspecting her.
Remember that bowl I had put out for Fred, well, Fred may not be here anymore, but the cats are still using it. A little bit of kindness can go a long way.
Oreo and Ursula are some spoiled cats. They still get tuna at night after all the other animals have been fed.
