September 23, 2025

The sky was full of pink and purple looking clouds as I went outside. Sometimes I just stand there in awe of how pretty it is. I do not think I will ever be able to live in a city again after being spoiled to the pretty views of the country life.
I saw all the donkeys surrounding the pig pen. I found that weird, but everyone was fine.
Of course, I get greeted every morning with a chicken flying up on my shoulder. I do not think they realize I am still have asleep and sometimes it startles me, even though I am expecting it.
May's foot is looking better. Whatever growth that was on her foot is now gone. I think that is a good thing. She is putting more weight on it, and she is getting better. I still cannot believe that happened. She is healing nicely though.
I saw Athena and Onyx as I was out feeding the chicks.
I saw a small hummingbird in the tree, probably waiting for me to leave so it could get some nectar.
The sunrise was so pretty. I had to stand there and watch it for a bit.
Ursula is being such a brat these days. She wants whatever Oreo has and even kicked him out of the bed he has been sleeping in. She is being ridiculous. Jealousy is never cute.
I did finally see Yeller in the evening. He is starting to do like Jelly did. When he comes from the pasture, he will meow to announce his presence to everyone around. He wants everyone to know he is there.
The other animals are all doing okay.
I did get to spray the horses down. There may not be too many more days of spraying them down. They do love that.
Looks like someone or something is taking revenge on Jeb. He has a nice size cut to his forehead. I did spray the cut and put some peroxide on it. He hated every minute of that.
The hornets have been so bad. I even found some nests in the tree. Good grief.
The pigs are still enjoying their water. That will end soon, and we will start having to use straw in the pens and they will stay there for the winter most of the time.
Gus and the girls have made the entire shelter be another mud hole. Ronnie is going to have to put a barrier up to keep the water out soon. I did already do that once and someone demolished it.
Yeller was up against the house. I looked closely and saw he had a cactus needle in his chin. Luckily for me, I was able to remove it without incident.
More and more of the chicks are jumping out. I find it hilarious.
I looked outside later and saw the most beautiful clouds. I had to go out and get pictures of them. There was some lightning going on also.
