I got to see Onyx coming in to eat.
The chicks were all over me again. I am glad to know they love me. Sometimes they may be a little intrusive.
I saw Red and Mattie interacting. That is father and son. I do wonder if I will ever be able to put them all together or not.
I gave Yeller some petting this morning before work.
I saw Athena and Onyx under the deck when I got home from work. They were trying to stay cool. It was hot.
When I got home, the chicks were all trying to stay out of the sun and were in the crate. That crate had to be hotter than the outside of the crate. They will learn one day. They will not be in that coop much longer.
Lucky ate some corn out of my hand. That is the only time he will allow me to be that close to him.
Fred is still doing fine. He is still over in the donkey pasture.
The donkeys were just grazing away living their best life. They do love their life, or they seem to be happy. The alternative of where you are could always be worse. They are spoiled and loved though.
Yeller was hiding from everyone today. I finally did see him. He was not far from the other two, but he was hiding for whatever reason.
Raven got out today. That chick is going to be hard to keep in the coop. She wants out.
The chicks are getting so big.
I was concerned about Fred not being able to get to the water when the coop chickens are, so I set him up his own water and guess what, he is using it. Yay.
There was a cat that jumped up on the grill to look in the house. It looks like Yeller, but I am not convinced it is Yeller. There looks to be some differences. I am going to have to investigate that. Upon studying the photo, that is not Yeller. I am not sure who that cat is. It must be one of Yeller's siblings or a parent. I have seen that cat in our pasture and at the neighbor's house, too. I guess it is hanging out here more often.
