September 7, 2025

Yeller took a page out of Onyx's book and sat out in the weeds. A few of the chicks jumped out of the coop and I was sure Yeller was going to see them and go after them like Athena attempts to do, but I do not even think he noticed. I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. He was not paying any attention to his surroundings. I did go over and give him some petting. I sure do love that cat. A few minutes later, I looked over and there was Athena, right by the coop door.

Oreo has decided after all these years that he loves us and trusts us. He has been laying down with his belly up, a sign of trust. Sometimes after someone or something has been hurt so many times, it takes a long time to build up trust so be patient with them, or it.

I saw a ground squirrel out in the pasture. My sis is terrified of squirrels, so I sent her a photo. She is not as scared of ground squirrels as she is tree squirrels.

Sonny ran Fred off from the barn in the pasture. I could not find Fred, so I sure hope he is doing okay.

The donkeys and goats were enjoying life today. I thought it was hot myself, but they seemed fine.

May was looking out the window of the shop, I know she was getting the air flow from the window. She is not dumb. Chickens are smarter than people think they are. She is such a pretty little thing. I am glad she is feeling better.

I did get to see all the cats eventually. I think sometimes they just like to keep me on my toes.
