With the temperatures up between 100 and 108 lately with no rain in sight, I worry about the pigs during the day. Pigs do not regulate their temperatures well. They have made their own mud holes, which oddly enough get bigger every day. We fill those mud holes twice a day to make sure they can cool off. They also have shelter to get out of the sun. We are doing everything we can to make sure they do not over heat. I do not worry about the rest of the animals too much, they all have shelter and plenty of water. I know we are doing all we can since Ronnie and I both work long hours at times. I have to remember to not worry.
They have to have their mud puddles!
