Goodbye Marmalade

It was warmer in the morning and then the temps started to drop. I know I posted about Marmalade not doing well. When I got home and started checking on the animals, I found her. It looked like she had fallen over and could not get up and she froze to death. Talk about a blow to the heart. I was so upset by seeing that. It broke my heart. It made me feel like I was failing these animals. I went through the whole, should have, would have stuff but none of it mattered anymore, she was gone. Marmalade was one of the chickens that was left here by the previous owner. She was the most beautiful chicken I had ever seen. She will be greatly missed.
