Then There Were 5

I came home from work and let the dogs outside. It was another hot day out here in West Texas. I did not check to see what chickens were under the porch since there are always chickens under the porch. Josephine was under there with her chicks. Daisy ended up with a chick. I hate that she does that but she is a dog. She killed the baby so now Josephine only has 5 chicks. She does not keep up with them too well. I know she is trying though. Hopefully she will do better with the remaining 5. So far, they still hang out in the backyard but no more chicks have been killed.
