We finally got hay bales!! Yay!! We had 10 big round bales delivered. I was so excited. Here is the thing, hay bales are big. Our tractor could not pick them up. So, imagine this, we had 10 hay bales out in the front of the house and had to get them into the pastures for the animals. How were we going to do this?? Well, we push them with the tractor. When the hay bales needed to be turned, just put your body into it and physically move them. When Ronnie got tired of using the tractor, we would physically push them. We did have to cut some fencing in some places to get the hay bales where they needed to go. We successfully got 2 hay bales in with Cracker Jack and Noma. We successfully got 2 hay bales in with the donkeys and goats. We got 1 over to the horses. And 1 in the cow area. That was hard work, but we did it. And honestly, we had to put 2 in with Cracker Jack and Noma because the cows destroyed an entire bale by playing in it. I didn’t have the heart to stop them. They were having the best time. Whew. What a day. I’m grateful for the hay. And we have 10 more bales coming.
