The hens have been doing really well as mothers. I love to watch them. The other day, I look and Suzie Q has her chicks in with the smaller goats. Actually, she had them hidden inside a tire, but those chicks weren’t having it. They were getting out of there as fast as Suzie Q left the area. They are so funny trying to figure life out. They are getting so big so fast. I really wasn’t expecting this, but those 8 chicks hatched. It could have been 24. I do like seeing the hens be mothers. I am enjoying watching the chicks. So far so good around here. I watched one try to fly a little today. It’s so interesting to see. I’m grateful I have been able to watch them grow up.
