Well, we had some company come out to see the farm and the animals. Spots decided that was a good time to lay down in the middle of the hay. It looks like something is wrong with them when they do that. She was fine though.

Our company was here to talk about a possibility of a work day and then another event. It is so heartwarming when someone genuinely wants to help.

Onyx and Athena were playing around everywhere today.

Bubba and Persia were cuddled together today.

The chickens decided to take shelter with Cinderella and Tinkerbelle. It was a nice day, so I’m not sure why they were not out in the sun.

I got to watch the donkey and goat herd go off into the pasture. I know they enjoy their life and that makes me happy.

I cleaned out pig pens today. That is not glamorous, but it is necessary. Bacon bit was demanding my attention by biting at my pant leg. Darla rolled over for petting. The others just wanted to continue sunning.

Gus got him some attention. Treat and Spam did, too. Those three were sure cozy in their shelter this afternoon.

The farrier did come. I’m sure we have found our farrier. He is willing to work with us. We are working on a schedule for Noma to get her feet as normal as possible. She did well. I stayed in the house so I would not distract her.

I laid down and Ursula cuddled with me. She is precious.

Chloe is our chicken who spends the day with the horses and then comes in to roost in the evening. She might be the smallest chicken we have. She was on the roost watching the sheep as they ate.

Noma was not too upset with me when I went out. I gave her treats and she took them from me. Her feet look better. They will continue to look better since we have someone who won’t give up on us like we have had in the past.

I went in and gave the sheep love and attention. They are little love bugs.

I let the sheep out of the pen. They were excited. Noma doesn’t seem to mind them, so that’s good. I don’t know how long Noma will be in the pen. I will have to see. Willow is sad without her.

Noma did go into the back of the shelter to relax a bit after eating. The sheep went with her.

Oreo and Ursula cuddled together while I was laying in bed reading.

It was a productive day.

It was a pretty day today. Onyx was enjoying the day up in a tree for whatever reason. She is funny.

Ronnie looks a guy at the feed store he would give him some extra money to come over and put a halter on Noma for her farrier visit. He was able to do it in less than 5 minutes. I was in shock. I was also grateful. He was able to love on that donkey, too. The farm also warmed his heart enough, he called his girlfriend and had her come over to check out the place. That made me happy. All the animals got a little extra love.

I was a little worried about Russ, he would not get up and come to the fence, but would grunt every time I said his name. He was fine.

Noma wasn’t real happy with the halter, but she was fine.

The sheep are still fine in the back of the shelter. They will be let out tomorrow after the farrier appointment.

I watched a chicken who was brave enough to fly up and sit on Jasper’s back. She stayed a bit. Jasper was trying to get her off of his back, literally.

Persia felt good enough to get in the middle of my project today. I was almost happy about that.

Bubba was happy to sit next to Ronnie while he was sleeping in the chair.

Oh boy did we get some rain. It was starting to rain when I went to work but it was not supposed to rain all day.

I got home early so I could get some things done around the house. I got home and a few minutes after I did, it started pouring rain and hailing. You just never know around here. The farrier was supposed to come today but we had to cancel. That storm was a little crazy. It lasted longer than normal and everything was flooded.

Persia and Bubba were eating good. Ursula and Oreo were crying about it in the other room. They have no problem eating hard food. These two do.

It did stop raining long enough for us to feed. No one needed water after the storm.

I was happy to see Lester, the most docile rooster we have, was over eating with the pasture chickens. I’m just glad he found a spot to be able to eat without fighting over food. Normally he just walks away from the food so he does not have to fight. He’s fantastic.

Willow chose to stay in the rain and was soaked.

The sheep are still locked in the pen at the back of the shelter. They do not love it, but they will be okay for a few more days. They were trying to run Ronnie over to get to the food. They are funny little creatures.

The storm clouds kept rolling in. The horses were pretty under the clouds. The horses are always pretty though.

The dogs were not too happy about being in the rainy weather, but they made it through.

Persia and Bubba were laying close together on the couch. Those two are something and they know it.
