3/31/24

I was productive today even though I was still tired today. I’m grateful for Easter and grateful for Jesus. I am so thankful for what this day means for us all. Ronnie brought me a plant which was sweet and it is beautiful. I am going to attempt to plant it outside.

Jasper was looking today how I felt yesterday. He is fine though.

I did go on my own egg hunt today and found 2 dozen. Wheezy was not pleased with me taking her eggs. I did it anyway.

The animals were all doing fine today.

3/30/24

It’s Saturday and let me tell you what, now that my friend is coming on Saturday we get a lot done. When I woke up this morning though, I was a little unsure of how much we could get done. I was so exhausted I could not get myself together. I worked more this past week than I have in a while, so exhaustion set in. Once I get that tired, it’s hard for me to get things done. I am beyond grateful for my friend. She put the motivation in. We did the second round of wormer for the fainting goats, the little goats, and the sheep. We improvised a little with making treat sandwiches with wormer in the middle. I know that’s not how it is supposed to be done, but I did not have the energy to chase them. I only got bit once. That was unexpected, but being tired makes your brain not work well.

After that, we gave some attention to Noma, Willow, and Mattie. I notice Noma has a cut across her neck. My first thought was Mattie was playing too rough. I then remembered the cows, it could have been a horn. She seems fine, but I will need to watch her.

We cleaned out the pig pens. Darla and Gus like the attention. The rest of them do not. Pork chop is still looking rough for some reason, but I think he is shedding and has dry skin. He doesn’t act like anything is wrong with him.

We then got the backyard cleaned up. Then we helped unload feed from the truck when Ronnie got back.
I was over it after that. At least I thought I was. The donkeys and the goats came to the fence, so they have been wormed also.

Yeller got scared since there was a new person I the shop and I was scratched, but that’s okay. I will heal.

We had lunch after that. The day was finished. I just could not do anymore. I took a 3 1/2 hour nap after that. I never do that. I needed it though.
Ronnie and I went to feed later and he kept seeing these tracks that he could not figure out. He finally realized it was Mattie’s lead rope. We have to get that off of him, but it’s stuck, so Ronnie will have to find a tool or something to get it off.

Later I saw Willow out in the pasture and she looked exactly how I had been feeling.

3/29/24

Maggie was confused today for sure. If you lead her to where she needs to go, she has no problem, but she likes to follow the other dogs and they lead her to other areas.

It looked like Hercules was laying down out in the pasture while the other goats and donkeys were grazing in the pasture. He was in the middle of them. It was an interesting thing to see. He was tired and just needed to rest. He got back up a little while later.

Suzie Q was acting a bit off today. She was staying back away from the other chickens. I will start watching her closer to make sure she is okay.

Melody, Ann, and Ernestine were all in the shop laying eggs today. Snowflake was there, too, but stayed in the crate. Melody, Ann, and Ernestine were given a cracked egg. They fought over that and ran around the shop. It was entertaining to watch.

I watched Lester up on the hay bales looking down at Sonny. It looked like he was hiding from Sonny.

It’s still nice to see Mattie out of the pen. He is happy and Willow and Noma seem that way also.

The cows were minding their own business tonight which is a rare occurrence.

Saverine was over at the mineral when I was bringing their food. I actually called her name and she came. I was shocked, but it really made me happy to see her coming while I was calling her name.

Noma is getting brave with eating with the cows. I’m a little nervous for her getting that close to the horns.

It was a nice day. Onyx and Yeller were enjoying the nice weather and napping like cats do.

It is Good Friday for 2024. I usually mention the donkeys and their crosses. All of our donkeys have a cross, except maybe Ned. Jesus blessed the donkey with the cross.

Noma let me pet her today, without food!! That’s a huge deal. Mattie and Willow got some petting also. They get jealous.
The sheep were having some issues with their breathing, so I cleaned their noses good for them. They did seem better after that. It has been really dusty lately.

I caught Snowflake out of the crate. She saw me and ran right back in. She does not want out of there. I will not bother her again. She leaves when she wants to.

3/28/24

This morning when I was leaving for work, I saw Chloe out with the Saverine. Saverine seems to be the one Chloe gravities toward. At least they are both okay.

It was another long day today. Ronnie was almost finished feeding when I got home.
The sheep were excited to see me. That’s something good.

I still am loving seeing Mattie, Willow, and Noma together. Everything is so much more relax.

Mattie is still sweet as ever. He still loves attention and let me pet him. He is still curious and is teaching Willow how to be the same.

It was a beautiful evening.
The dogs were all lined up in a cute way.

Bubba isn’t as mad at me anymore. That’s a good thing. I do think he will be fine.
