Out it this country you can hear coyotes from miles around. That’s not a surprise I’m sure to those who have been out in the country. One night I was out feeding and it was late. It was getting dark. I try to feed before then for that reason. I start to hear them and Jeb runs like a madman into the barn. The animals are usually used to the sounds but they did sound closer that night. Watching Jeb run showed me he was listening and watching for predators. Animals are smart. I had not seen him do this up until that moment but he did that night. He acted scared. Then he got over it and started grazing.
